COMPANY PROFILE

Richard Scott - Managing Director

R & A Scott Auto Services Ltd is a family owned and run company which was established in 1976 in Blyton near Gainsborough by Richard Scott who had served his apprenticeship at Rootes-Jaguar. His brother Andrew, who had learned his trade at Ford, joined him a year later.

The first employee joined them a year later and is still with the company today. There are now 24 employees whose enthusiasm, knowledge, skills and training are second to none.

The company is an MAN truck parts franchise and has first class facilities for maintenance, repair, service and MOT testing of MAN and other vehicle marques.

The workshop facility has recently been extended and is one of the most modern in the area.We embrace the latest in technology, tooling and training to ensure customers’ needs and expectations are more than met.

 

In addition to operating our own first class service and workshop facilities, we supply parts for MAN and other marques to repairers and fleet operators across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. These are delivered six days a week as required by our dedicated delivery person in our own van.

We also cater for cars and light commercial vehicles, providing MOT testing, fixed price servicing and repairs carried out using high quality branded parts.

In summary, we are equipped to keep your vehicle on the road, whether it is a car, truck, trailer, van, motorhome or horsebox! Our customers include private car users, single and multiple vehicle operators, national fleet operators and local government departments.

We are proud to be an MAN franchised dealership and have held the franchise since 2000: prior to that we were the UK’s first appointed ERF main dealer in 1985 until they became part of MAN.

We have all the solutions for your vehicle problem – whether it is warranty work, routine checks, service and maintenance or an urgently needed part. Our extended opening hours mean we can look after your vehicle at a time to suit you – we are open from 7.30am to midnight Monday - Friday and 7.30am to 1pm on Saturdays.

We take away the headache of keeping your vehicles legal and on the road – we will remind you what needs doing and when, and you can be confident that all the parts used are high quality and fitted by experts.

The service we offer for private users

We don’t just do big stuff!

We also MOT, service and repair all makes of passenger cars and light commercials.

Under 2003 legislation, you can have your car serviced and maintained by an independent garage without invalidating the manufacturer’s warranty provided servicing schedules are adhered to and quality parts are used. Why not let us look after your pride and joy? We offer fixed price servicing for interim and major services so you know exactly what the cost will be.

We always have special offers available so you can get a great deal on air conditioning system disinfection or a discount when you book an MOT at the same time as your service.

All parts used are high quality branded products and fitted by our experienced technicians, so you can be confident that your car won’t let you down.We always keep any parts removed for you to inspect, and if your vehicle needs any extra work, we will contact you before going ahead so there are no nasty surprises when you collect your car. We will keep you informed about the progress of the job, or feel free to call us for information.

Once you have had an MOT with us, we will send you a reminder when the next one is due, so you can forget all about it until next time around. If you are waiting with us for your car, we offer free tea, coffee and newspapers.We operate a loyalty scheme: if you have three MOT’s, services or repairs with us we will reduce your bill on your fourth visit by £10.00.

We are open early, late and on Saturday mornings, so we can look after your car at a time to suit you. If you work locally, you could plan to leave it with us during the working day instead of it being in your workplace car park – this would leave your free time free!
